Identity issues

I can't remember the national anthem, nor the pledge. I need some time to answer if someone asks me who the current prime minister or president is. I haven't voted. I pay my taxes. I don't litter, and I try to keep the city I live in clean. I get upset when people damage public property. I have no strong desire to emigrate to Amreeka, but I would like to make a few changes to the country I live in. Maladjusted youth, cynic, rebel without a cause?

So tell me again, why am I standing up for the national anthem just before I see this American movie?

Hey,

Why should anyone call you a rebel or cynic or whatever? You believe in living life on your own terms and don't do things only because you're expected to do them.
Big deal, if you don't want to stand up for the national anthem, I don't know if there is a law or something but it's very individual yaa.
From what you've written it's clearly evident that you're trying your best to be a good citizen in a more effective way than singing patriotic songs. So chillax dude, you're on the right track.
