Growing old is depressing

Here I am, sitting in office at 11.00 PM, checking up on my e-mail and catching up on reading and blogs I had intended to do ages back. And I read my friend's post Reality check.

Sigh! I realize I'm almost 28, and there's loads and loads of things I need to do before I get any older. Finding more friends, finding the 'love of my life', getting the job and salary that everyone envies, absolute job satisfaction...and ad infinitum. But, first and foremost, I need to get out of office now. Pearl Jam blaring in the background is tripping my mind, and I need caffeine to get it going right again. Right then, first food, and then off the the coffee house. Coffee and Kafka - sounds like a heady combo. I'm off then...

"Right then, first food, and then off the the coffee house."

You did need the coffee badly, a person like you never makes silly mistakes like "the the"!

You always crib about your age dude, do you realize you're looking more handsome and wiser with every passing year?

:)

You've become silly Vinodini, is it old age? :P

Thanks, but too much coffee or no coffee, the error is inexcusable. I know I need some caffeine now...and there's none available.

Hey Vinod, I agree growing old is depressing, it specially hits you when you're in office after 11pm when almost everyone has left for home. It's amazing what it takes for a person to realize that life is happening and somehow we are missing out on it coz we are sitting at a desk and working at something that is not exactly priority number one in life.
