Have you wondered why it is an insult to the national flag if it is worn as a fashionable garment, but is not if little paper replicas are sold on the streets? That except to a few curious individuals, the exact dimensions of the flag is unknown to most Indians, including our politicians? If the flag is a symbol of our republic, then aren't you amazed that post every republic day/independence day, there are millions of flags thrown about on the ground everywhere and end up in the garbage?
